Verbs in Darija: Present Tense Construction

Positive Form

 In Darija, the positive present tense is typically formed by using the verb root with specific prefixes and endings. For the verb "to eat," which is "كل" (kl), the present tense construction for "I eat" is: - أنا كَنَاكُل (Ana kanakl) - "I eat"

Negative Form

 To form the negative present tense, you generally use the word "ما" (ma) before the verb and "ش" (sh) at the end. For "I am not eating," it would be: - أنا ما كَنَاكُلش (Ana ma kanaklsh) - "I am not eating"
